My head and especially my ears are always cold in winter. Over the years I've bought large and bulky ski hats time and time again. My friend advised me to look for wool hats. After much research on Revain, I pulled the trigger. I'm so happy I did! When it arrived it was very soft but thin. I was sure it wouldn't warm my head and ears. It has to be wool, but this hat works. Keeps head and ears warm even in the single digits (Fahrenheit). It hasn't gotten colder yet, but I expect they're holding up well. I bought a second pair - one for running and one for everyday wear. I have also recommended this product to friends who run or bike outdoors. I'm officially a big fan of this company and will check out their other products. I have washed it several times and hung it to dry. I haven't tested it in the dryer yet. But it hasn't shrunk or faded in the washing machine, which I'm very happy about. I saw a review complaining about the extra material. I don't use it as a fashion hat so the folding up is an added benefit for extra warmth, not a disadvantage. I'm just glad it fits my head. So many "one size fits all" ski hats are too small for me. It is great. All in all, couldn't be happier. My head is finally warm and I no longer carry a fat ski hat with me. Soft, thin and warm! You will not be disappointed!
