I bought this brand because my 7 month old is standing still, pulling furniture and walking around the coffee table. Unfortunately, it didn't stay in place even one night (I should mention that our coffee table doesn't have a smooth edge, instead it has a tapered edge similar to a crown molding, which may be one of the reasons it doesn't stay in place). First, the corner pieces included in the kit were already double-sided taped before opening the box, but not on the long strip. It was a hassle to stick double-sided tape over longer strips. Second, if you have to reapply the tape more than once or twice to align the tape with the foam strips, this will obviously affect the stickiness of the tape when you're ready to tape it around the edges. I feel the tape is almost impossible to apply once and it fits perfectly. Finally, it has an odd smell that seemed to linger for several days (not a complete failure if it worked the way we hoped). The only positive thing I can say is that the color actually matched our coffee table perfectly (we have an off-white table so we bought the oyster color). We're sticking with it now because you (obviously) have to cut a long strip of styrofoam to the length of the table, so I'm pretty sure we can't return it. All in all I wouldn't recommend it due to the tape issue, especially if the edges of your coffee table don't sit flush with the tabletop like ours do. Good thing it's only $20. Now we are back at the starting point.
