Did a lot of research before deciding on this stabilizer. Lots of negative reviews come with great comments. I needed a stabilizer so I kept looking. The customer who bought this made a YouTube video refuting most of the negative comments. The guy was very persuasive, so I ordered this stabilizer and received it when my friend returned to the States (I sent it to his Oklahoma address). Remembering the video, we tested it carefully and found that we were able to get it to work with very few issues. Place my Nikon 1 with a 10-20mm lens on the gimbal and within minutes (and lots of discussion) we were able to get it working as expected. Look at it. Customize it. Think about the physics, then balance your camera based on what you theorized. It works, but some understanding of why it works is required. As the guy said in the video, this is a solid device. All metal except handles. Easy to set up once you understand how it works. Little used, but the Nikon 1 was stable. Picking him up next week for a serious movie adventure among the nine Thai temples in Kanchanaburi. about a two-hour drive from Bangkok. When in doubt, find a video and watch it before making a decision.
