I bought this to replace a bum KVM. This one worked, and it was able to power via USB, so I saved an outlet on the power strip.One negative, it seems to be built to explicitly wait for a digital signal. In my case I was trying to use a VGA-to-HDMI cable and the KVM wouldn't register it.Fortunately the dock had a DisplayPort and I was able to use a spare DisplayPort-to-HDMI adapter. It's a bit slower than straight HDMI, but it does work.
