Although this cage comes with "everything you need" this cage should never be used as a permanent home for one guinea pig, let alone 2. I bought this cage new for temporary housing Guinea pigs during their quarantine but reading the reviews I'm really concerned at how many people think this is the right size for a permanent home. A guinea pig takes up TWICE the space in a 2x4 foot cage. This cage is approximately 1x2 feet. Please purchase a Midwest green canvas floor cage (or alternative version from Amazon), C&C cage or other cage with AT LEAST 2x4 for 1-2 guinea pigs instead. Your guinea pigs NEED space to exercise and be very active and please NEVER keep two guinea pigs here. Choosing the right cage size is very important as guinea pigs can become VERY sick, overweight and depressed in a cage that is too small. Also keep in mind that even 2x4 cages in this style with a plastic floor aren't actually. big enough as the plastic part where the guinea pigs are is narrowed and thus they actually have less space than advertised.
