My kids love it. I no longer have to tell them to cover their ears because they love the colors and they're light but windproof. If you want something heavy for something like this. oh, sitting in the wind, ice fishing. this is not for you I think they're too light for really inclement weather, but for where we live (mild winters) or if you walk a lot, they're perfect. They're soft and stretchy, so kids pull one down to cover their neck (and not feel smothered) and then make the other a hat to cover their ears. When the cold snap hit for 5 days we found we could wear 2 - one each around our necks and ears and then just throw a sweatshirt over them. And it wasn't too bulky and didn't restrict movement. For cold-weather sports, my kids loved wearing one around their necks to cover their cold ears over their mouths or entire heads while they sat on the bench. There is enough included in this pack to easily mix and match colors and have fun with them. I like it because they are a good buy too. Winter is almost over (late February) but we'll probably buy another set next year for some fun with more colors and patterns to choose from. I would recommend it to a friend.
