Our unit suddenly stopped working so we sent it in for warranty service and were shocked to find that this unit is rated for liquids but is not sealed to prevent damage to avoid the liquid. Device, which of course is not covered by the warranty. Here is Aervana's response: We have received and checked your defective Aervana device. Upon inspection, we found a significant amount of corrosion, greenery, and rust under the top cover, causing the unit to short out. I am attaching a photo for reference. This can only happen if water or wine has entered the device during cleaning or use, or if the device has been knocked over while attached to a wine bottle. Water or wine cannot penetrate upwards during normal use. Aervana is an electrical product and should not be washed or tipped over as liquid will spill upwards and cause a short circuit in the device. Battery corrosion does not cause green as indicated on the product. Please note that this is due to user error and is not covered by the warranty.
