Use the art at your own risk.

I am really surprised that there is no warning on this product that people should use it at their own risk as allergic reactions can lead to serious and life threatening events. Why I have histamine intolerance and possibly mast cell activation syndrome or mastocytosis. In short, I cannot eat anything high in histamine (aged or fermented food or drink, slow-cooked food, etc.) without producing a severe allergic reaction. My history with wine includes hot flashes on my neck and face that feel like sunburn, hot to the touch, fatigue, mental fog/confusion, etc. I have taken claims about this product at face value to enjoy a glass of wine on Thanksgiving. To be sure (air quotes provided) that it works, I even took my standard 6 Benadryl color-free BEFORE drinking the wine (and while the histamine filter supposedly lasted longer than the recommended five minutes, as on stated on the package) "I had an epilation pen ready just in case. You are right if you suspect something went wrong. Even 3/4 of the wine didn't come out and I could feel the redness spreading from my collarbones to my hairline.” Instant fatigue Runny nose Feeling of stuffy nose It took two more doses of Benadryl (my allergist approved dose of 6 capsules without dyes) spaced 30 minutes apart before I felt the peak of the reaction and Benadryl started to work. Luckily I didn't have to use my epi pen or go to the ER. So it's 18 Benadryl on the TOP of the histamine filter and I STILL had a severe reaction to the product that has NO medical disclaimer on the packaging that I could find. If so, I won't tell you what to do, but I will tell you that I stay away from those histamine filters as much as possible and will issue a refund.
