Summary: I've been using the Brother ADS2700W wireless scanner for a few days - I've been using it quite heavily. Works great for the most part. Need a workaround for pages with many pages. Some people might get confused by the PC software name. How it's used: I used an Ethernet connection with the device. I installed the Brother PC software on my Windows 10 laptop which connects to the network wirelessly. It always seems to be writing to the documents folder, and there doesn't seem to be a way to change the folder it writes to. Brother's PC software is somewhat spartan and has an odd name. In the Brother ADS-2700W folder on your PC there is a program called "Remote Setup". When you start Remote Setup, the Find Devices window opens. When you have connected your computer and scanner, it will appear online and ready. Then start scanning from the scanner. Select a PC and a PDF file will be generated in the PC Documents folder. It scans quickly and well. I had to rescan a few times, but mostly it just worked. The exception to this experience has been larger documents - say more than 15 pages duplexed. These large documents consistently could not be scanned directly to my computer. When I tried to scan the same document to a memory card, everything worked fine. This led me to the conclusion that more sites should be built using a USB drive (maybe other options would work as well). Scanned images are displayed well.
