Review on CIPA 11953 Clip On Towing Mirror by Troy Drake

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Poor fit best for outdoor accessories

Mirror did not fit securely on my Dodge Dakota 05. The adjustable rubber straps seemed to hold up well when the car was not moving, but once on the road, the mirror frame's top and bottom clips came loose and the straps couldn't hold it in place. Separate mirrors on the unit (convex and flat) weren't difficult to adjust, although the flat mirror was more difficult to aim. Overall, the devices were only marginally more powerful and useful than without them. I have a small trailer that is 6'6" wide. I also have a convex insert in stock mirrors. I couldn't justify keeping them with all the problems that came with them. Driven 70km with them.

Pros
  • Dual adjustable mirrors increase field of view
Cons
  • Not bad but...
