These liquid watercolors work really well, contain lots of pigment and couldn't be easier to use. I have been a professional artist for several decades and paint with water-soluble oils, gouache (opaque watercolor) and watercolor. I've spent thousands of dollars on tubes of paint that dry out or paint that cracks and falls out; No problem for Dr. Ph. Martins. There is so much pigment in these paints I wouldn't classify them as "student quality" there's a little enough. The included dropper bottle is ideal for filling watercolor brushes with paint and distilled water, a great way to paint outdoors. I ordered a few colors to complement this set. I will buy again.
