Removing and replacing sealant isn't a pleasant job, but it makes it easier. Maybe not"simple", but easier. Will be used for a while. It's nice that the crevice shaping tools have many different profiles to choose from and leave a nice, even edge that looks professional. It takes a little getting used to, but not bad. Part of the technique is knowing how much sealant to apply and applying it in a good, even flow.
