I found this backrest to be too lumpy and firm as is for my liking. I removed some of the foam filling to customize it to the perfect support I was looking for. It's very large, so it supports my entire back well. The fabric is soft and cozy. I didn't even try to use the cupholder. It's not very deep and tilts sideways. It was actually uncomfortable on my arm, so I just removed it. The side and back pockets are useful for remotes and the like. The cover is removeable, so if I need to wash it, I can. Overall, I feel like this is a very supportive backrest, and someone that is of a larger build may appreciate the firmness.
