Dangerous grater?

I don't know what the construction of this grater is. It looks just like a few other graters I have, but almost every time I use it (for hard cheeses) I rub my knuckles. It's quite difficult to move the cheese straight up and down. He wants to move diagonally, causing me to lose control of him. I haven't had this problem with other graters.
