This was the perfect replacement for my Lippert Solera Power awning motor. While Lippert's instructional video suggests extending the awning a foot and then securing it with zip ties, you must do this on both sides. As soon as I detached the motor shaft from the hood, everything fell apart. I just put a vise on the end (where the set screw goes in) and screwed it back in. The fabric may wrinkle a little, but it will straighten out after the first unfolding/pulling with the new motor. Be sure to insert a spacer to hold the canopy in place after you take it off. I used my telescopic ladder.
