Review on Waterproof Dual Zip Explorer II Joan Boot By Sorel by Sheila Vaughn

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Warm comfort on my review.

These boots are warm and comfortable -- lightweight but not wimpy. They do run at least a size small, so keep that in mind. They have a zipper on each side, which helps to make them easier to slip on and take off. The zippers, it should be said, are sometimes sticky to zip, but I am hoping that continued use will improve that. It isn't necessary to always unzip both zippers, however, in order to put them on or take them off. They have elastic laces, also, to make them more adjustable. I had some trouble with them staying tied, due to the nature of the lacing material, so I just added a toggle. Works well. Don't know about ice stability or just how waterproof they are, as winter hasn't gotten that far yet, but I expect them to perform well. I do wish that the soles weren't white, but that's a minor issue and a personal preference.

Pros

Cons
  • The boots can scuff easily, requiring frequent maintenance to keep them looking their best
