Excellent backpack. The base is very solid. I don't feel like it's going to fall apart even if it's dangling in the hold or anything. The handle is easy to lift and lock. I could definitely fit a couple of tablets, phones, a Kindle, some clothes, etc. in here, leaving room for short trips. The first real run will be our upcoming trip to Disneyland during Thanksgiving, but so far I've only just started using it for errands and the like (we have an autistic toddler who goes to doctors all the time so I'm ALWAYS ready to lol). . So the wheel cover was very helpful in keeping them clean and keeping their little toes out. bag is great. Of course, keep in mind that the bottom plate/wheels make it considerably heavier than a traditional backpack. So if you intend to use it for this purpose at all, keep that in mind.
