Review on Tracfone Motorola Moto G Power 4G LTE - Locked Black Smartphone (64GB) - CDMA - SIM Card Included by Jeremy Adams

Well if it's half the price of the unlocked Moto G Power

I bought my son an unlocked Moto G Power for $250. I thought it was a great phone and when the same unlocked phone went on sale for $175 I bought one myself. Great phone and a good upgrade from my G7. Both my son and I use TracFone. When this G Power went on sale for $60, I bought it too, thinking I'd try to find a use for it. I took my TracFone sim out of my unlocked phone and put it in this one and it works great, no calls to TracFone required. Here are TracFone's cons compared to the unlocked version I see: • Cannot use other carrier SIM cards when traveling abroad (may not apply to you but we do travel abroad and buy SIM from time to time cards for local providers ) • Downloads crappy software to your phone that you can't uninstall: Hub Games, News Break, Pandora, Word Trip, Coin Master, 1Weather, Pop! Slots and maybe some others that I haven't noticed yet. • I'm not sure if the apps I can't uninstall transfer my data in a way that I would still refuse, other than working like a Moto G Power phone. , which is excellent. If cheap enough, it's a great backup phone, or even your main phone when you're not traveling abroad. The file manager app works the same way and seems unlimited. I wouldn't spend $150 on this phone if you can get a fully unlocked version that works just as well with TracFone for $175, but when it's on sale for $60 it's definitely worth getting. TracFone says it unlocks the phone after 12 months of paid use. I'll be even more impressed if it works when the time comes.

Pros
  • . Good product for its price
Cons
  • Legacy model

Good Budget Phone with issues. Missed an Opportunity to be a Great Phone.
