I am shocked that so many people gave these shoes such good reviews. My son wears a size 3 and we ordered a size 4 because he likes very loose shoes. But even with the large size, the hole in the shoes is so narrow that he couldn't put anything in it but his toes! He also doesn't have very wide feet. No matter how hard I tried to help him by stretching the boot and keeping it as open as possible, we couldn't get them on. Constructed almost like a sock-like shoe that you slip on, they're stitched near the ankle rather than traditional sneakers (where you can open the tongue, slip the shoe on, and then tighten the laces).
