First I numbed my stomach with ice for 20 minutes. While doing this I sterilized everything, although this is already sterilized just for extra precaution. Then I clamped my stomach and started sticking the needle, it happened very slowly. It took about 5 minutes for the needle to go through my skin. It hurt a lot but I have a high pain threshold so I just kept going. When I finally inserted the needle, I found I had inserted the needle through the top (your assumption is to insert it through the bottom). To keep my jewelry from being upside down, I had to pull the pin through and through. I placed the jewelry on the tip of the pin, pointing it inward as I removed the pin. But it's super cute. I highly recommend watching lots of YouTube videos like I do so you screw up as little as possible. My only issue with the kit is that the needle doesn't go through quickly. Although I think it was my fault. Plus, it's a great set at a great price.
