Lifeguard in room with baby

I was a bit nervous when my husband booked a room just for us and our 7 month old for the homecoming weekend. We haven't lived with her in the same room for about 3 months. I didn't want to have to hide in the dark again and/or deal with a bad night's sleep. After a little research on the internet I came across this one. After reading the reviews I thought I'd give it a try. First, this shade is designed to attempt to accommodate multiple playground sizes. It won't be perfect for everyone. Do what others recommend and bring binding clips to adjust the fit so the top doesn't sag. I did just that, and while the Hotel PNP is much smaller than Graco's, I only used the binding clips to make adjustments. If you've ever traveled with a child, you know that the key to success is improvising with your surroundings. That and let yourself be surprised. Secondly, dragging your kid into it is a little weird. I didn't think it would work (thought she would freak out) but it did! In fact, she was able to fall asleep faster and more peacefully than if we put her in a darkened room. Third, it gets warmer in there since the PNP is closed because the fabric is wrapped. If you are somewhere with air conditioning this should not be a problem. My baby is a heater and she slept well with him. It's lightweight and easy to pack. I used it to pack my pump in my luggage. I love this thing! Can't wait to use it on future trips!
