Classic can crusher! I grew up with one of these in my parents garage in the 90's. I never understood its use until this year when I bought my own house and started recycling. My husband and I drink a lot of canned drinks and they quickly fill our kitchen basket. Lots of trips to the garage to empty. I bought this and my husband installed it in our pantry as it's kind of an eyesore. I also bought a mini trash can to put right underneath so we can crush our cans and toss them in the bin before trash day. Haven't had to make many extra trips to the shop since buying it. It's just a convenience, but I'm happy with the results. My husband also thought of making a homemade crucible and melting these little pucks into ingots. I ordered a 16 ounce grinder and it fits all standard soda cans and some larger energy drink cans by the way.
