UPDATE 07/01/2019: Well it happened, during a 30 mile snowmobile ride my expensive Garmin GPS device fell out of this one bracket and was gone forever . I really liked this mount and thought it was great for a while, but one mishap and I lost a lot of money. This thing should work 100% of the time when you drive inland. Luckily I was on a trail system that was easy to navigate and didn't get lost. However, if you're going to use this on rough terrain or in bad conditions, you might want to consider finding a way to add a tether or it'll just disappear like mine did, and worse, you could get lost in the backcountry 30 below. .Very well made and perfect for Garmin GPSmap64. The stand attaches very securely to your GPS and is easy to install and remove without tools or hassle. I use it for some pretty tough mountain sledding and that's how it stays on hard ground. The mount is very easy to set up, very easy to adjust in almost any position, and stays in place with a simple twist of the knob. With other fasteners I've had to use a wrench or pliers to tighten them, but not this one!
