Review on TP-LINK ARCHER C80 AC1900 Router Wireless Dual Band MU-MIMO Gigabit Router by Wiktor Janic ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am one hundred percent satisfied with the purchase, I recommend this product to everyone.

It was bought for use as an access point (signal amplifier) due to the fact that the Wi-fi signal from the main router located approximately in the center of the house was very weak in part of the house (the length of one side of the wall perimeter was about 25 m). On the attic floor the signal was unstable, in the basement there was no signal at all. After installing the TP-LINK Archer C80 in access point mode, it receives a signal not only in the back rooms and basement, but also in most of the house. really distributes incoming 1000 Mbps. They didn’t bother with replacing the main router, since the provider installed it. I think that if the TP-LINK Archer C80 was the main one, then there would be no problems with the signal in all parts of the house. I recommend for purchase in private houses built using combinations of materials such as monolithic reinforced concrete walls, reinforced concrete floor slabs, aerated concrete blocks, bricks. And in all the rest, the signal will definitely be excellent within the perimeter and in a large area around it. Don't forget to encrypt and password, Happy shopping.

Pros
  • Confident Wi-fi signal level in all corners of a private house. Ease of connection. Reasonable price for a gadget with decent features.
Cons
  • No deficiencies have been identified. But features have been identified. When using it in access point mode from the main single-band (2.4 GHz) gigabit D-Link router distributing wired and Wi-fi signal around the house in dual-band (2.4 / 5 GHz) on smartphones that do not support 5 GHz signal reception, the signal also disappeared from the main router . After transferring the TP-LINK Archer C80 to distribution in one 2.4 GHz band, everything returned to normal. Perhaps the point is not in the frequency, but in the support of IPv6 (for the main IPv4), but the main thing is that the main router and the access point work together, it is provided.
