I bought this because I love the BeachTech towels I currently own. Definitely not to be compared. BeachTech is much softer and more comfortable on the skin. This feels stiff and solid. It may only need to be washed and worn a few times to achieve the same level of comfort. The bag is an additional unnecessary accessory. It would be easier to just have a mounting strap like BeachTech's to keep it compact. I went back and bought another BeachTech. I'll probably only give this one.
