I'm looking to add 6-8 of these devices to my existing gate sensors at some point. Setup was very easy, and while adding it to Alexa is always a little tricky, it worked well. I created a procedure in Alexa to send a "message" to all the Echo and Alexa devices in the house (9) when motion is detected, some only fire at certain times. 45-55 degrees. This may work in some applications but not mine. It would be nice if they had two versions, the regular view and this unit view. Or a lens cap to limit your view. Can't comment on the battery life yet and will when I have more time with it. Weather protection is also unknown but will be updated as the rainy season approaches. All in all, it's expensive for what it is and will be reluctant to buy additional devices until they prove themselves and have a wider motion detection range.
