I'm upset. I was amazed by this product with all the descriptions of what it can do and then received it in the mail. and I found it a lazy, sloppy, poorly designed mess. Let's look at how this was a depressing experience. I agree that the Instant Pot is monstrous and takes up almost the entire counter in my apartment. I need to read the dimensions of the product. My mistake. I don't think the instructions were so poorly worded that I had to turn to YouTube to find out how to set up and run the Instant Pot. A set of instructions requires users to disassemble and reassemble some parts of the product. Why? I also don't agree that at first glance there is something wrong with the design of the device. (See photo.) I had no idea why a tiny piece of rubber had broken off. I figured it shouldn't matter too much as it was a brand new device and of course tested. Right? TO THE RIGHT?! But no, that tiny piece of rubber was critical, because without it, the Instant Pot gave me "C9 ERROR" alerts when I tried to use the fryer. What is ERROR C9? Was it explained in the instructions? Of course not. The instructions are almost useless. I found out it was on Reddit where other Instant Pot users were having the same issue. After much effort just to assemble the product I could not finish my dish. I've wasted so much time. And I had a huge useless object in my hands. Luckily there was still a return date so I cleaned it, took it apart, repackaged it and sent it back for a refund. Thank you Revan But I'm still angry. What happened to manufacturers who no longer perform quality control? Have you never heard of inspections? It wasn't a cheap product by the standards of most consumers - it was a cause for concern. However, if you read some of the other reviews here, you know that Instant Pot regularly releases faulty products. This means consumers like me waste time trying to figure it out on YouTube only to have it not work at all because a part is faulty. Funny evening. not worth the effort. The broken element was part of the sensor that formed the basis of the product. And given the sloppiness and other negative reviews here, I suspected there would be more trouble in my future. Returned. And I know it's just more e-waste now. And all because a major corporation decided to produce in China, which is known for poor quality but could not bother to carry out a basic quality control with simple checks. I am furious and will never touch any other Instant Pot product again. Instant Pot Note: I WILL PAY 2 OR 3 TIMES A MUCH FOR A CANADA OR USA MADE PRODUCT THAT HAS BEEN VERIFIED AND TESTED. But instead I got a box of mass inattention.
