Review on Shop4Omni 8 Inches Silver Hurricane Kerosene Oil Lantern - Emergency Hanging Light/Lamp for Superior SEO by Benjamin Robinson

Doesn't leak. I don't know what people did to make it flow.

By the time these lights leak, they most likely won't leak. The critical leak point on most oil lanterns are the burrs of the burner seat, which naturally leak when the tank is overfilled. I saw a disclaimer saying some reported the lamp got out of hand and they had to cover it with dirt. Again, this is an old problem with oil lanterns. If you burn the lamp so hard that the tank is empty or almost empty? The wick draws in air due to lack of oil, causing what appears to be an uncontrolled flame. The main thing is not to burn the thing until the oil supply is exhausted. Bottom line is, I love these lamps. In winter I light oil lamps instead of candles and love my collection. Will I use this lamp in an emergency? no This is a small new lamp with very low brightness. It's cute, inexpensive, and well built for what it is.
