After the first hour of listening all I can say is WOW! Having to own multiple JBL headphones, multiple Beats headphones, 1More Triple Driver, and BOSE. (of course none of this compares to CHI, CHI FI swept past every one of them) and with almost all flagship CCs from ZS6, ZS10 Pro, ZSX Terminator I thought CCA could never do better; However, the CCA CA16 really exceeded my expectations. Straight out of the box first time listening with no upgrade tips and cables it's already that good. Of course to be honest I gave the IEM 20 hours of listening time and swapped out its standard cable for my 8-wire Tripowin silver cable and used JVC's coiled lugs. OMG OMG OMG. Definitely the best IEM under $200 from the CHI FI group, easily comparable to the best IEM under $600 compared to the US version of the IEM which is now light years away from CHI FI. I'll just base it on the KZ ZSX. / ZS10 pro for comparison after I put in the upgraded cable and earbud. Like most CHI FIs, they typically have high and low frequencies since most of the CHI FI sound signature is V-shaped. CCA CA16, on the other hand, sounds pretty neutral. Compared with KZ or other CCA products, CA16 has finer high frequencies that will not damage your hearing or make you tired while listening. This is great because most of the CHI FI IEM is too sizzling for you to put a filter on it. The mid is neutral and not overwhelming which is good, I really don't listen to music that feels like the singer is jumping right in your face. Well I think this is where the CCA CA 16 shines, the bass and subwoofer are both well rounded with no leakage even at higher volumes. This is WOW, this has never happened before with a CHI FI IEM under $100. The soundstage is HUGE, you can feel the color of the sound and each instrument is playing from different locations. It's just nice to hear. The minus is always for CHI FI, low-quality nozzles and cables. They really had a better cable than most, don't get me wrong the CCA CA16 cable is better made than any KZ or CHI FI under $100 5 years ago. But still it gets very tangled and seems so flimsy and flimsy. I had a feeling they come standard with a silver core cable, but at $59, you can't expect that. The earbud that comes standard is small and barely insulates. Glad I have some JVC tips I could use; However the sound cap is not the standard 3.8/4mm but 2mm so these earbuds will wobble and if you push them too far into your ear when you take out the IEM they will stay in your ears. But don't do it. Don't worry, the SpinFit CP800 offers such a solution, just make sure you buy the right size to ensure optimal insulation. 16 hybrid drivers, I thought CCA couldn't achieve perfection but kudos to them, it really is like having 3 twitter speakers, 2 midrange, 2 woofers and a woofer in your ear. With specs like this it's really hard to justify buying other IEMs for the higher amount I paid for the CCA CA16. Hope this review helps. new CCA CA16 together with my other KZ.
