Review on POWERTEC 8 Gallon Compostable Bags - 50 Count, 30 Liter Capacity, 0.85 Mil Thickness - US BPI & European OK Compost Home Certified, 100% Sustainable Green Products by Terri Owen

Nice thick bag but could still spoil a bit

I bought these things for two purposes: Litter Genie: I got them to use in my Litter Genie instead of plastic cartridges. I read how to use a bag and voila! - I made this purchase with a Litter Genie pocket adapter. It seems to work well in Litter Genie, doesn't rip too much (because the litter I use dries up anything cats leave behind). I'm making a duplicate bag as I only had one mistake. *Note*: Purchase a 13-gallon trash bag that fits in Litter Genie. 8 liters are not enough. Like a garbage bag: the bags are actually a good thickness (I've had some pretty bad ones...think biodegradable grocery bags that seem to melt when wet). I usually take a double bag just in case I've had some nasty messes. I've found it's best not to put wet/damp items in bags unless you take out the trash frequently. I would say it lasts about 5 days without falling apart. The downside of extending the bag's shelf life in the bin is putting wet/damp items in the freezer until the next day of throwing away (tea bags, some - note all - vegetable scraps, etc.). But that's in the name of the earth. , Right? Of course it's not easy, but I want this world to continue.
