Metal Sensitivity Approved I am extremely sensitive to alloy mixtures containing even the smallest traces of nickel. I have trouble wearing titanium and niobium - both are touted as good alternatives. I don't like gold and I can't wear it. So I have to be extra careful when buying earrings and for some reason hooks and hoops work better for me than studs. Normally, when I buy earrings, I have to manually replace the hook that goes in my earlobe (because I have a pocket full of surgical steel jewelry hooks and needle nose pliers). But I, like many people, have multiple piercings so I love mixing and matching my earrings and wanted a set of simple studs. They passed the night test on my old holes as I could wear them all day and sleep in them with no irritation (itching, redness or swelling). I can't speak for my newer holes (and when I say newer I mean the ones that are less than 10 years old and have always had problems anyway). You become a bit tender. At least I can easily wear them all day if I take them off before bed. I would recommend them to anyone suffering from any kind of sensitivity. Inexpensive and I like that they come in different sizes. I am considering ordering another set.
