I bought this because I was moving from SD to MO. It was a 14 hour drive, and the fish and plants went into a bucket. This machine supplies oxygen to both. I put it on the intermittent setting, and it lasted for the whole drive, plus a few hours before and after being on the road. It DOES NOT work plugged in unless its been charged first. So, you can't use it if it's dead, even when it's plugged in. You have to charge it up first. I probably wouldn't use this for a tank larger than 30 gallons, but it was perfect for the use intended.
