± Following the release of the PS4, it can be difficult to adjust to the fact that the logic of the PS buttons and the screenshot has been altered. In the past, a single press on the PS would take the player back to the main screen, while a prolonged hold would bring up the menu on top of the game. Now, turning everything around, pressing will open the menu, and holding will bring you back to the screen. In the same vein, you are unable to re-enter the game by pressing another button on the main screen; rather, you are required to search for the game's shortcut among the other options and then click on it. There is no sign that the game is running on the main screen shortcut that takes you to the running game (as there was on the PS4). The confirmation prompt will not appear even if you start up another game inadvertently at this time. This is in contrast to how things worked on the PS4, where the system asked you to confirm that you wanted to shut one application before starting up another. That is to say, I failed to use the shortcut, and as a result, one game ended quickly without saving, while another one began. The same thing goes for taking a screenshot; at this point, it is physically impossible to take a screenshot in a short amount of time by simply pressing the Share button. This is because pressing the button brings up a menu in which you already need to select the screenshot icon and confirm it before you can capture the screenshot. RAVE! In the past, it was possible to configure the following: a single click on Share would take a screenshot, and a double click would begin recording a video; however, these options are no longer available; why is this? In a nutshell: a great gaming system for the money (by which I mean the manufacturer's suggested retail price).
