This wallet is definitely less bulky than the leather case it replaced. But it's not ultra light as advertised. All the cards fit snugly so I'm sure they won't fall out. I have 9 cards and could fit more, although some, like my Medicare card, are pretty thin. The small thumb recess makes it easy to slide them all where they can be grabbed, but the wallet's firm grip means extra effort may be required to remove a particular card. Carbon fiber (approx. 1mm) is screwed onto another layer of material (approx. 2mm and plastic?) and an elastic band is clamped in between to hold everything together. The thickness of this laminated piece seems too thick and I'm wondering if it can be made thinner and therefore lighter. Ultimately the weak link will be the rubber band holding everything together and I don't know if that's a replaceable part. There was a screwdriver and screws in the box, but no new rubber band. Time will tell how long this lasts. Overall I like the compact and sleek look and the more I use it the more I like it.
