IT IS SMALL! I wanted a new scale to measure ingredients while baking. Put the bowl on the scale, add flour or whatever, and measure as I go. I should have known when there were no measurements in the description that something was wrong. It fits in a small purse. Perhaps it could be a travel scale for people who want strict portion control when eating out. What they CANNOT do is take measurements while the dish is on them. If you want to use it to weigh ingredients, grab some 3x5 cards to place three ounces of meat directly on the scale. Supposedly it can weigh objects up to 11 pounds, but unless those things are a piece of lead I don't know how they're going to balance on these little scales. I have to return this useless pointless device.
