Great table with real wood top - for better and worse
The top piece is a slab of cedar or other soft pine, and is untreated. I think it looks much better than the fake MDF or laminate tops on other comparably priced tables; however, be warned that its not sanded smooth like most furniture and will readily get water stained from coasterless cups. I'm planning on finishing the wood myself, or replacing it with a nicer slab (easily done with a few screws).
