I got these for my grandmother who is going through a rather profound rehabilitation. She has arthritis in her hands but also needed to rebuild her hand strength. These have been wonderful. I purchased these because they have 3 different densities allowing for more flexibility for her. On her weaker hand she uses the softest one (yellow) and the middle one on her other hand (red). She also has a goal of working up to the blue. The shape of these is perfect and so is the size. It's easy for her to avoid using her thumb on bad arthritis days. She has also received endless compliments on these. Really it's kind of astounding. Her nurses, CNA's, and mostly importantly, her therapists ( physical and occupational ) have been big fans. The only issue I have is keeping them clean. Not because they hold dirt but because everyone wants to touch them! They have a very inviting design. I use them when I sit with her and am debating on getting a set for myself. The packaging was also very nice. Clean design and if I had a reason I wouldn't hesitate to give as a gift.
