I received this air purifier today. The claim without ozone is misleading. As you can see in the care and maintenance guide photo I took, some ozone is produced there. This is obviously below the legal limits, but still more than "none". Whether this small amount confuses you or not is up to you. However, nowhere in the online product information does it say that the lamp contains mercury. In a household with children and pets, there is always a chance that such a large lamp will be knocked over and the lamp broken. I'm not willing to take that risk. Just aside: someone else mentioned that it can be placed in a corner or leaned against a wall. It is impossible. The instructions clearly state that it must be at least a foot away from walls or furniture. I plugged it in before sitting down to read the use and care instructions. It's noisy! HEPA filters don't work well at slow speeds, so if I were going to stick with this I would always use a high or medium speed. Both are very noisy. The lowest speed is almost silent, but the air barely moves. During the day I would probably endure the noise, but because of ozone and mercury, it comes back.
