Pretty good compared to similar Reuzel products in a blue tin but not perfect. The feel that comes out of the tin is a little firmer than other pomades and it takes a little more effort to apply and apply to the hair than other similar products. However, the hold is excellent. HOLD: Holds hair in place all day and has a good shine. The hold, like the product itself, is a bit firmer than other "heavy hold" lipsticks. That's not a problem for me though, as I prefer to keep my hair combed. FRAGRANCE: Fragrance is the most subjective part of this product. Some people might really like it. To me it smells sweet and powerful with a touch that I can only describe as chemical. This remains an essential part of the all-day experience with this product. So if you don't like sweet scents, this can become a problem very quickly. The quality of the scent doesn't bother me, but I find it too strong. In fact, it stays on my hair for days after use. DURABILITY: At least the product flakes off on my hair. The scales are very small and imperceptible from afar, but clearly visible from a conversational distance. This is disappointing as it can appear like you have dust in your hair. A slight re-wetting of the product fixes this, but it comes back after a few hours. Unfortunately for me this is a quality that takes it from excellent to just fine. Does not affect retention. It stays strong. But it affects the look. SUMMARY: If you like sweet, bold scents, good hold and don't mind using a little water occasionally to freshen up your look/get rid of fine flakes, this product may be for you.
