Ideal for grilling. I wish the instructions were a bit more intuitive. It said you can choose your own temperature but I couldn't figure it out. In the end, I just chose the meat setting that came closest to what I had in mind. Also, it kept turning off. I think there should be an alarm but I guess it's not that big of a deal. As soon as I turned it on, it read immediately. I think it works fine. Once I figure out how to do it. I also like the metal cable and rubber grips. I've read others melt on the grill and had no problem with that. Even if you move the probes from one piece of meat to another, the rubber allows you to move them without burning your fingers.
