BIG DISAPPOINTMENT

I liked the color of these shoes so much I had to buy them. However, this sandal fits strangely. I feel like the straps are misaligned because when I put them on my foot usually points one way and my shoes the other way. And while the material is very strong and rigid, this can present another problem. My foot is softer than the materials the shoes are made of. The shoes seem to want the foot to fit, not the shoes that fit the foot. If I leave the sandals outside for a few weeks the material may break down and become more flexible. They feel chunky, thick, inflexible and that's how Hermann Munster's stylist would ask him to wear them. I want sandals to last, but they need to be comfortable on my feet. I don't know how to explain this, so I'll just say that while this is definitely not my first Teva set, I can't adjust the shoes so that I don't injure my feet when walking. The foot is pushing too far forward, too far back, or slipping between front and back. And if you have bursitis, forget it and try a different kind of Teva. I don't have this foot problem. At least I didn't know until I got these shoes. I've found that my big toe joints throb when I wear them.
