Was very skeptical as we have always used either liquid detergent or capsules. But they work really really well even when washed in cold water! Finally I can do without plastic. I've started using them to hand wash baby clothes and I particularly like them because you don't have to take a heavy jug and measure out the liquid. And the capsules aren't hand washable, unlike these strips, which dissolve instantly. My husband and I don't get our clothes very dirty, but a toddler's clothes can get very dirty from eating and playing outside (as you can imagine) and this has worked well. In some cases I pre-soak the strips and then hand wash them if there are particularly stubborn stains, just like with other cleaning products.
