Nice fondue pot that can be used for meat or cheese fondue. Maybe for chocolate. Because it's cast iron enamel, it's heavy but not unstable. We heated the oil on the stove before we started the gel burner. The temperature of the oil is not as unstable as in a thin stainless steel fondue pot, but it takes longer to heat up and cool down. The enamel is pleasant and the color reminds children that it can be hot. Also, the pan isn't big enough to use a lot of oil. The only downside is that the burner won't go over the legs without lifting it, so you'll have to plan to leave it in place before adding the pot. I've seen smaller burners and think they could either make the legs and base wider or combine them with a smaller burner. Overall it's a good size and appears to be well made. Washes well as the inside is coated with enamel.
