Many years ago, when DIY PC building was a much less urgent task than RGB. what RGBs, PC Power & Cooling is one of the top brands when it comes to quality and reliability. Due to the current shortage of computer components, which unfortunately includes power supplies, and although I haven't heard of PCP&C for a long time, I decided to give it a try out of nostalgia. The power supply would turn on the system. for about 4 seconds, then restart, then after about 10 more seconds it turns off. While the system is off, the PSU still seems to be running judging by the fan noise and the smell of something very bad. I quickly turned everything off, ran to the Microcenter and bought a Corsair RM1000x. Installed, switched on and everything loads as it should. Judging by some recent reviews, it seems that the words "quality" and "reliability" are no longer part of the brand. Worse still, "fire hazard" seems to fit the bill better.
