They actually work best in doorstops
My mother in law lives in an apartment building and for some reason the doors are SUPER heavy with automatic closing. She could never keep the door open wide enough to bring groceries etc inside and she needed a real doorstop. After buying and returning a few, this finally helps on hardwood floors too. highly recommended
