First I gave a bad review because it didn't work with my receiver. However, SofaBaton added it very quickly and it works. I would suggest if you have a remote and it doesn't work with everything, email them support and they will probably add it to their database pretty quickly. But looking back, I'm coming from the Logitech 650 remote, which when it works is a fantastic remote that can do anything you could possibly ask for. However, Logitech has always had hardware issues. My sixth remote finally died. Everyone with different problems. Sometimes they restart randomly, sometimes the buttons die, sometimes the configuration keeps getting corrupted, etc. I was fed up, so I took a chance with this SofaBaton. He did a very good job. While it doesn't run action-based commands, it does run macros that are insanely easy to program in the app and assign to each button that can mimic anything Logitech can do. Yes, you will spend time perfecting it, no, it doesn't hurt. The build quality seems very good at the moment, the buttons are nice, responsive and pleasant to the touch. The in-hand feel and button placement are perfect - something many remotes fail to get right. You basically set up each of your devices and then give them a name in the top list. You can then control any device this way. However, if you don't want to choose between all devices, you can select one of the names and use it as your "primary" device, which will show all the important buttons on ALL devices. This. Louder for your receiver, arrow keys for your Tivo, enter for your TV, etc. It seems to work well and I believe this remote will successfully replace my Logitech remote. The remote control is pretty good, the app is good. Potential for improvement: 1. When reassigning keys from other devices, not all devices are displayed for selection. I don't know why it is like this. I have 7 devices in the list. But when I decide to map a button from one of them, there are only four to choose from. Luckily these are the ones I need to remap from .2. There is no way to reset the button without removing and reading the entire device.3. An IR blaster may need another bulb or two to fire. They really need to be pointing at devices I can point my Logitech at pretty much anywhere. 4. More buttons could be used. An extra row or two of the four colored buttons would be nice.
