If you are looking for a reliable, inexpensive directional microphone, you should seriously consider buying this microphone. I make YouTube videos as a side hobby and always use the Rode VideoMic Go Gun Mic on my GH5. I ordered this mic to take an extra mic with me when I'm shooting outdoors or traveling. I've shot several videos with this mic, including video reviews, and I can honestly say there's no "by ear" difference between this mic and the Rode version other than $50. So at half the price, the Rode VideoMic Go is a no-brainer. Audio clarity is pin sharp, and when post-processed in Audition/Premiere Pro, it's even clearer and "fuller". Not only is the mic itself superb, but the overall packaging and presentation of this mic is superb. You will receive 2 x 3.5mm cables, wind sleeve and standard sleeve, shock absorber and carrying case (see detailed images). Now I use it interchangeably with my Rode VideoMicGo and there is no difference in sound quality. Hope this helps someone!
