I bought one for a "solar generator" DIY project. This charge controller is good for some use cases and really bad for others, so make sure you know what you're getting before you commit. Otherwise, skip this and choose Renogy. This HUINE device is very small. According to the ad, it's epoxy filled and most likely waterproof, or at least durable. However, I wouldn't intentionally submerge it. The wires are also very small and thin. The wire can handle a 20A surge, but I don't think it can handle a sustained 20A. Unfortunately, all wires are the same size, so you're limited in all directions. Will this work with a single panel input to power some remote devices (like a wireless radio injector or digital signage) that it wouldn't otherwise be practical to plug in for power? Probably. But it's not the best choice for a solar generator or system you plan to expand in the future.
