Wood easy to stain or paint. Simply cut with garden shears. They make great decorations in the dollhouse and I used and painted them for the attic as well. I pre-drill holes when using nails, but mostly glue or hot glue. The length is perfect and also easy to cut into shorter pieces or even angle for doll size picture frames. I also put one in an orchid I was growing that needed a new support. Forget popsicles, they are amazing. I ordered 100 and 60 packs. Great price and great product.
