Light and comfortable with a design problem

I think this vacuum cleaner is great, but it has a design problem. I knew when I bought it that the battery wouldn't last long and that it wouldn't hold much dust in the bin, so I really can't complain about those things. I don't think the battery lasts as long as it says when using the floorhead. It seems to decrease less quickly when only using a handheld vacuum. It's easy to just go to the trash can and throw away the trash can when it gets too full before you're done. It definitely won't clean a big house in one session but for everyday cleaning it's great for me, light weight and convenient and I love that I can remove the handheld vacuum and get into places where the floor nozzle doesn't fit, and they then replace it and continue working the rest of the floor. I'm old and it's not hard so that's a big plus. I was also happy with the power. Seems much stronger than other brands of wireless units I have and the dog hair doesn't wrap around the reel - great! This could be the best feature! BUT there is a design issue with the dust collector. The scheme for removing the filter from the dust collector is inaccurate. The lid didn't open wide enough to drop the filter. Shark customer support gave no advice other than to apply more pressure. I was afraid it would break so I sent it back and when I got a replacement vacuum I checked that part first. It has the same design issue, but I can open a new one wide enough to remove the filter when I'm working on it. You really need to repeat this part. I see on their website that it's sold out, as are the batteries. So my advice is to see if you can remove the filter for a thorough cleaning when you receive yours before you leave it for a month and find it won't come out and you can't send it back to Revain. This is not something you should do every day. This is shown in Fig. 1. 3 in the "Cleaning the dust box and filterโ€ section. Also, do not assemble the stand until you are sure you will store it as it cannot be disassembled and is difficult to repack once assembled. Facebook provided all the requested numbers including the number on the plug (!) and even sent a picture of the problem and then about a day later told me to call, fix the phone and give them all the numbers again once. I don't consider that great customer service so I just sent the item back and got a replacement. I just hope nothing happens to him during the warranty period. I have a Shark mains vacuum and have never had any problems with it. There is a star deduction for the problem with the dust bag. If it wasn't for that it would have been five stars for my use.

Cons
